Muzaffarpur: A case of murder of a teenage girl has come to light at Paru police station in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. The body of a teenage girl was found in a pond in Lalu Chhapra village. The girl’s hands and legs were tied and there were marks of knife attack on her body. The sister of the deceased has lodged an FIR against Sanjay Rai and five unknown persons from the same village.

Five people were forcibly kidnapped while travelling on three bicycles

The sister of the deceased alleged that Sanjay Rai had threatened three days ago that he would marry off her younger sister, otherwise he would kill her. The sister of the victim said that on the night of August 11, Sanjay Rai had arrived with five people. They were all riding on three bikes. The accused first beat up the husband and son of the victim and used caste-related words. Upon their protest, the accused broke the gate of the house and entered. After this, the accused showed the victim a knife and a gun, asked her to remain silent and forcibly took her daughter away on a bike.

Body found in village pond on second day of kidnapping

When the villagers raised an alarm, the accused ran away leaving the girl behind. A lot of search was done for the girl but nothing was found about her. The next morning, on August 12, the girl’s body was found in a pond in the village. The girl’s hands and legs were tied. The sister of the deceased suspects that she was murdered after a gang rape.

Sharp weapon marks on the body of the deceased

Muzaffarpur SSP Rakesh Kumar said that the body of a girl was found in the Paru police station area on August 12. A sheath was also found near the body. Three marks of sharp weapons were found on the body of the deceased. An accused has been named on the statement of the family members. The cause of death and the incident will be known only after the post-mortem report arrives. The police are investigating the matter.

BSP chief Mayawati expressed concern

Here, BSP Mayawati has expressed her concern over this incident. She tweeted that recently in Bihar, an 18-year-old Dalit girl from Madhubani district was gang-raped by Kamlesh Yadav and his associates and a few days later, a 14-year-old Dalit girl in Muzaffarpur was gang-raped by Sanjay Rai and his associates were brutally murdered. She said that the Bihar government should take both the incidents seriously and take strict action against all the culprits, so that such incidents do not happen again. The government should take special care of the safety and respect of Dalits.
