MVA silent protest against Badlapur incident, Sharad Pawar participated

Maharashtra News: There was a massive protest against the incident that took place in Badlapur, Maharashtra. Following this, the state government took action against the protesters and a case was registered against them. Now the political agitation against this incident has intensified in Maharashtra. The opposition is busy cornering the government in this matter. For this, Maha Vikas Aghadi had called for Maharashtra bandh today. But the High Court had said to stop the bandh. Following this, today Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar and Baramati MP Supriya Sule led an hour-long silent demonstration in front of the statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar at Pune Railway Station. Through this demonstration, both the leaders spoke out against the government’s indifference towards the safety of women in Maharashtra by tying black bands on their faces.

The High Court had ordered to stop the bandh

The Bombay High Court had stayed the Maharashtra Bandh petition called by MVA on August 24 against the Badlapur incident. On Friday, the court had ordered to restrain any political party or individual from announcing the bandh. The court then said that due to the lockdown, the lives of common people are disrupted. Following the High Court order, Maha Vikas Aghadi had decided to protest peacefully.

The High Court asked the investigation team to submit the report by 27

A case of sexual exploitation of two female students came to light in a school in Badlapur, Maharashtra. Following this incident, there was an uproar across the state. The accused who carried out this incident was arrested last week and is currently in custody. In this matter, the Bombay High Court has taken a strict stand and has directed the special investigation team investigating the case to submit the report by August 27.
