College Principal Sandeep Ghosh has resigned from his post in connection with the murder of a junior doctor at the Kolkata Medical College. He has cited his defamation on social media as the reason for his resignation. He said that all kinds of things are being said about him on social media, that is why he is resigning.

He called the dead girl his daughter.

Sandeep Ghosh said that the girl who died is his daughter. He said that this should not happen to anyone. We told you that after the protest by the students, the Mamata government on Sunday removed the superintendent of the college. Instead, this responsibility has been entrusted to the Dean. But the students were not satisfied with just removing the superintendent. They also demanded the removal of the principal of the college. Meanwhile, the Kolkata police called three junior doctors for questioning on Monday.

The body was found in the university’s seminar room.

The body of a junior doctor of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital was recovered from the seminar room of the college on August 9. The post-mortem report revealed that the girl was raped and then murdered. Blood was flowing from both her eyes. She had bled from her private parts. The police have also arrested an accused in this case.

Doctors on strike across the country

After this matter came to light, the junior doctors of the college are on strike. On Monday, doctors across the country are on strike. Resident doctors of many hospitals including Delhi AIIMS and RML Hospital are on strike. Their demand is that the accused be arrested at the earliest and given the most severe punishment.
