Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple
This place dates back to the 9th century. Also known as Nandi Temple, it is one of the oldest temples in Karnataka. It is one of the most interesting places to visit on your trip to Nandi Hills.
Brahma Ashram
The cave was used by the sage Ramakrishna Paramhansa for meditation. If you are a meditator or a seeker of peace, this is definitely your place.
Amrita Sarovar
This place is a source of water supply near the Nandi region. These perennial springs have formed the Nectar Lake, a breathtaking sight that you cannot miss on your trip to Nandi Hills in Karnataka.
Muddenahalli
This is a small village located just 7 km from Chikballapur district in Karnataka. The village has a memorial dedicated to M. Visvesvarayya, a famous artist from Mysore. It also has a very popular museum that displays a wide collection of his writings, paintings and photographs. The ancestral house of M. Visvesvarayya is also located right next to the museum.
How to reach Nandi Hills?
You can hire a taxi from Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport. If you wish to experience the train journey, the nearest station where you can get off is Chikkaballapur. Buses and taxis are available from here.
