Speaking to Hindustan Times, most candidates felt that the exam was not really easy but rather moderate. Some others said that the exam was lengthy and different from the previous year.

In this article, we will analyze what candidates from Patna, Uttar Pradesh and other regions had to say about the document to get a detailed idea about the same.

For instance, a candidate from Patna named Kavita Kishore said that the exam was moderate and the questions were mostly based on the syllabus. She exuded confidence that she would perform well.

Another candidate from Patna, who identified herself as Dr Ankita, said that while the questions were easy to moderate, she found the options confusing.

Another candidate from Patna also seemed satisfied with his work. He said that the exams had gone well and he was hoping to score well.

Another candidate said that the work was not that easy, that she found it long and that most of the work was based on concepts. She also said that the work was not like the previous year’s.

Another candidate named Ankita rated the exam as neither too easy nor too difficult and said she had answered most of the questions.

Dr Shoeb Ahmad, one of the candidates from Uttar Pradesh, said: “This year was tougher than the previous year. The pattern has changed. The clinical part was more extensive and the questions were longer.”

It is noteworthy that lakhs of medical students finally breathed a sigh of relief after the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) conducted NEET PG 2024 on Sunday.

The first session started at 9:00 and ended at 12:30. The exam will be held in two sessions, with the afternoon session from 15:30 to 19:00.

It is to be mentioned here that the NEET PG exam question paper consists of 200 multiple choice questions each with 4 answer options/distractors in English only. Candidates will have to select the correct/best/most appropriate answer/response from the 4 answer options provided in each question.

Once the second round of the exam is over, the focus will now be on NEET PG results in 2024.

It is worth mentioning here that the NBEMS published an official notice on August 10, in which it explained the standardization procedure for the preparation of results. In the notice, the board said it has adopted the process currently used by AIIMS-New Delhi for its various examinations conducted in more than one shift.

The NBEMS response came after some petitioners requested the Supreme Court to disclose the standardization formula of the four sets of question papers for the candidates to eliminate the possibility of arbitrariness in the process.
