NEET-PG 2024 entrance exam to be conducted in two shifts in 170 cities

New Delhi: He NEET-The PG 2024 was successfully conducted in two shifts at 416 centres in 170 cities on Sunday by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, an autonomous body under the Union Health Ministry.

National Eligibility and Admission Test for Graduate Studies (NEET-PG) is an entrance exam for medical school. It was scheduled to be held on June 23, but was postponed as a “precautionary measure” following complaints about the integrity of some competitive exams.

The exam was conducted in two shifts on the same day in order to select the best and most reputable centers for the exam, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.

Admit cards have been issued to 228,540 candidates and they have been allotted examination centres within their states, to the extent possible, it said.

The NBEMS set up a central command centre at its Dwarka office in Delhi. Officials from the Union Health Ministry and NBEMS, along with the board’s chief executive officer, kept a close watch to ensure that the examination was conducted smoothly, the statement said.

More than 1,950 independent assessors and 300 mobile team members have been deployed to testing centres, he said.

To avoid any misinformation regarding the exam, NBEMS closely monitored social media and ensured that only authentic information was provided to stakeholders, the statement said. Heightened security measures, coupled with close coordination among various agencies, have ensured the safe and smooth conduct of the exam. NEET PG, thus maintaining the integrity of this exam, the ministry said.
