NEET UG 2024 Counselling 2024: Registration starts tomorrow, check steps to apply, important dates and more

The Medical Counselling Committee or MCC will commence the UG counselling for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2024 from Wednesday, August 14. Candidates who have qualified in the NEET UG examination and are interested in submitting their application forms will be able to do so on the official website at mcc.nic.in.

According to the schedule published by the MCC, the application period for the first round will be open from August 14 to August 20, until noon. Applicants will be able to pay the application fee until August 20, at 3:00 p.m.

The deadline for filling out the selection forms for the first round will be from 16 to 20 August, until 23:55. The option to block preferences will be available from 16:00 on 20 August.

The processing of seat allocation for Round 1 will then take place from 21 to 22 August 2024.

The results of the first allocation of round 1 will be published on August 23, 2024.

Reporting at the designated universities will be conducted from August 24 to 29, and verification of the data of the recruited candidates by the institutes and data sharing by the MCC will be conducted from August 30 to 31, 2024.

It is to be mentioned here that MCC NEET counselling will be conducted for 15 per cent of all India seats/deemed central universities/all AIIMS/JIPMER institutes (Puducherry and Karaikal). For more related details, candidates can refer to the official website of DGETN.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the revised NEET UG 2024 results on July 26, in which a total of 17 students secured perfect scores, marking a 75 per cent drop in the number of toppers from the earlier declared results.

The revised or final result of the NEET UG exam was demanded by the Supreme Court of India. The apex court had directed the NTA to follow the recommendation of IIT Delhi on the controversial Physics question and recount the results.

  • Visit the official website of MCC at mcc.nic.in.
  • On the homepage, click on the MCC NEET UG Counselling 2024 registration link.
  • Enter your login credentials and click submit.
  • Fill out the application form and pay the application fee.
  • Click submit and download the page.
  • Keep a printed copy of the same for future needs.
