The counselling process has finally begun today, August 14, following the controversy over alleged malpractices and irregularities in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (Undergraduate), or NEET UG 2024. Registration should be possible by visiting the official website of the Medical Advisory Committee (MCC) at mcc.nic.in.

The official notice states that the window for the first round of NEET UG registration and fee payment for counselling will remain open till noon on August 20. Till August 20, the window for filling in the options will be open. The seat allotment result for the first round of NEET UG counselling will be announced on August 23.

Between August 24 and 29, students who are to be allotted seats will have to report to the allotted college. 15 per cent of the seats in the all-India quota for MBBS and BDS will be filled through this counselling.


MCC NEET UG Exam Counselling 2024: Steps to Apply

• Go to the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in.

• Press the MCC NEET UG Counselling 2024 registration link accessible on the homepage.

• Complete the registration details and press submit.

• Now log in to the account.

• Submit the application form and pay the application fee.

• Press submit and download the page.

• Keep a printed copy of it for later use.


MCC NEET UG 2024 Counselling: Fee Structure

Applicants applying for seats in Medicine, Dentistry or Bachelor of Nursing are required to pay two sets of fees i.e. the deemed university fee is Rs 5,000 and the refundable security amount is Rs 200,000.

Applicants applying for (15% All India Quota)/Central Universities (BHU, DU, AMU and Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi)/JIPMER/AFMC and ESI/All AIIMS/B.Sc. Nursing, the fees are Rs 100/- non-refundable registration fee for UR/EWS applicants and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/OBC/PwD applicants.

Refundable Security Amount:- Rs.10,000/- for UR/EWS candidates and Rs.5,000/- for SC/ST/OBC/PwD i.e. any UR candidate opting for Central Universities/AFMC/ESI will pay Rs. 1000/-+ Rs.10,000= Rs.11,000 at the time of registration. Any OBC/PwD/SC/ST/ applicant will pay Rs. 500 + Rs.5,000 = Rs. 5,500 at the time of registration process.


NEET UG 2024: Counselling Process (Step by Step)

— The first step in the MCC NEET UG 2024 Round 1 counselling procedure is registration and payment of a non-refundable counselling fee of 15% AIQ.

— Applicants will then select and lock in medical schools and majors that fit their interests.

— After making its announcement, the MCC will proceed with these selections and publish the results of seat allotment on the official website at mcc.nic.in.

— Successful applicants must upload essential documentation and visit the designated medical or dental school immediately after the results are declared.

—Present the institution with the original documentation. Candidates who are assigned a first round may choose to move on to the second round.


NEET UG 2024 Counselling: Important Documents

To participate in the NEET UG 2024 counselling, candidates need to register on the official website of the Medical Council Commission. Only students who have cleared the NEET UG 2024 exam can apply for the counselling. The documents expected for the NEET UG 2024 counselling are as follows:

— NEET UG Exam Results Chart

— Tenth grade certificate and grade sheet

— Provisional award letter

— 12th Grade Certificate and Report Card

— Identity Proof (Aadhaar/PAN Card/Driving License/Passport)

— 8 passport-sized photographs

— Caste certificate (if applicable).
