NEET UG Counselling 2024: Registration for Round 2 starts from today | Education News

The Medical Advisory Committee (MCC) will begin the registration process for the second round of the National Eligibility and Admission Test for Undergraduate Studies (NEET-UG) today, September 5, 2024. Students can register from the official site at mcc.nic.in. On September 10, 2024, the process of blocking options will begin at 4:00 pm and will conclude at 11:55 pm.

Applicants who were selected during the first round of MBBS and BDS counselling and could not secure a seat or did not respond to their allotted seat, should not register again. Registration fee is required to be paid by those who are registering for the first time in the second round, and then they are required to choose their colleges and courses.


NEET UG Exam Counselling Round 2 2024: Important Dates

• Option Backfill/Lock: September 6, 2024 – September 10, 2024 (until 11:55 PM server time)

• Seat assignment processing: September 11, 2024 to September 12, 2024

• Result: September 13, 2024

• Reporting/Incorporation: September 14, 2024 to September 20, 2024

• Verification of data of recruited candidates by institutes and data sharing by MCC: from September 21, 2024 to September 22, 2024.


NEET UG Exam Counselling Round 2 2024: Steps to register

Step 1: Go to the official website of Medical Advisory Committee (MCC) at mcc.nic.in.

Step 2: Click on the ‘UG Medical’ section.

Step 3: Complete the ‘New Login Registration’ available on the candidate activity dashboard.

Step 4: Fill in the login details as requested such as NEET UG registration number, password and security PIN.

Step 5: Enter the application form and submit the application form.

Step 6: Submit the registration fee.

Step 7: Download the copy and take a printout or screenshot for future reference.


NEET UG Exam Counselling Round 2 2024: Required Documents

Applicants must bring originals and photocopies of the above-mentioned documents for the institute’s call or document verification rounds:

• NEET Admit Card 2024

• NEET 2024 Scorecard

• Grade sheet and certificate of class 10

• Grade sheet and certificate of class 12

• Proof of identity with photograph

• Provisional award letter

• Six to eight passport-sized photographs.

• Caste certificate (if applicable)

• Disability Certificate (if applicable).


NEET UG 2024 Counselling: Eligibility

Candidates who meet all the requirements for the exam will be eligible to register for the second round. They will be considered for the second round if there are places available in the relevant category. Candidates who were allocated a place in the first round but lost their place during the document verification process when applying for admission will be considered.

MCC will conduct all four rounds of counselling for All India Quota (15 per cent), Deemed, Central Universities, All AIIMS Institutes and JIPMER (Puducherry and Karaikal) in Round 1, Round 2 and Online Loose Seat Round.


NEET UG 2024 Counselling Round 2: Fee Structure

Applicants wishing to apply for a degree in medicine, dentistry or biological sciences will be required to pay two types of fees for nursing positions:

• The deemed University fee is Rs 5000/- and the refundable security amount is Rs 2,00,000/-. All India Fee, Central Universities (DU, AMU, BHU and Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi), AFMC&ESI, All AIIMS, JIPMER and B.Sc. Nursing, charges are: Rs 100/- non-refundable registration fee for UR/EWS applicants and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/OBC/PwD applicants.

• Refundable Security Amount: Rs.10,000/- for UR/EWS applicants and Rs. 5,000/- for SC/ST/OBC/PwD i.e. any UR applicant selecting Central Universities/AFMC/ESI will pay Rs. 1000/-+ Rs. 10,000= Rs. 11,000 at the time of registration. Any SC/ST/OBC/PwD applicant will pay Rs. 500 + Rs. 5,000 = Rs. 5,500 at the time of registration.
