Welspun Group eyes revenue of ₹ 1 lakh crore in next three to five years – Exclusive

Welspun Group Chairman BK Goenka is targeting an overall group turnover of ₹1 lakh crore in the next three to five years. That’s triple the current figure of nearly Rs 40,000 crore a year.

In an exclusive interaction with CNBC-TV18, the first in years, Goenka said Welspun Group’s strategy is based on three key pillars: Growth, Governance and Ecology, all of which aim to transform the company into a powerhouse across multiple sectors and create value for the shareholder.

An initial lump sum investment of ₹1 lakh at the inception of the fund has grown to ₹22.35 lakh. The fund has generated compound annual growth rates (CAGR), with 1-year return of 17.68%, 3-year return of 22.38%. and a 5-year profitability of 18.84%.
