NIA Recruitment 2024: Application process begins, check eligibility criteria, fees, age limit

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) on deputation/absorption basis.

The central agency The aim is to fill 17 positions in total within the framework of this recruitment campaign. Those who apply for the position will not be able to withdraw their application later.

Eligibility criteria

  1. Those who are officials of the Center or the state government are eligible to apply:
  2. TO) The candidate must have two years of service in the grade served after his/her appointment to the same on a regular basis in a post in Pay Band 2 (₹9,300-34,800) with a grade pay of ₹4,800 or equivalent in the original cadre/department; or
  3. B) Those with three years of service in the grade served after their appointment to the same on a regular basis in the post in Pay Band 2 (₹9,300-34,800) with a grade pay of ₹4,600 or equivalent in the original cadre/department.
  4. Candidates must also possess:
  5. TO) Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  6. B) At least three years of experience in handling criminal investigation cases or intelligence work, including counter-terrorism operations or providing counter-terrorism training.

Salary and term of deputyship

The selected candidates will be paid a salary at Pay Matrix Level-10 (₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500) (Previously Revised Pay Scale – Pay Band-3 (₹15,600-₹39,100) with Grade Pay ₹5,400).

In addition to this, the candidates will be provided with special security allowance of 20% of basic pay along with DA, HRA, TPT and other allowances as permissible under the orders of the Centre from time to time.

The term of office is three years.

Age limit

The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation must not exceed 56 years from the closing date for receipt of applications.
