Actress Nicole Kidman has expressed her gratitude to her fans and friends for the outpouring of support as she continues to deal with the loss of her mother, Janelle Ann Kidman. On her Instagram account, she wrote an emotional note along with some old photos of her family. “My sister, I and our family would like to thank you for the outpouring of love and kindness we have felt this week,” she wrote.

“All the messages we have received from those who loved and admired our Mother have meant more to us than we can ever express. Thank you from our entire family for respecting our privacy as we look after each other,” she added.
Many of Kidman’s famous friends offered their condolences in the comments. Musician Lenny Kravitz wrote: “My deepest condolences to you and the family. I feel blessed to have been in your presence. Rest in peace.”
“I’m so sorry for your loss Nic. Sending you all my love. Sending you both so much love. I’m so sorry for your loss. Your wonderful and energetic mother will be missed by so many. I hope she is now reunited in peace with your dad. I love you,” Natalie Portman wrote.
Janelle’s death came to light as the actress won an award for her role in Babygirl at the Venice Film Festival on Saturday. Director Halina Reijn accepted the award on Kidman’s behalf and shared a statement from her.
“I’m in shock and have to tell my family, but this award is for her. I’m beyond grateful to be able to say her name in front of all of you. The collision between life and art is heartbreaking and my heart is broken,” Kidman wrote.
