nita Mukesh Ambani Founder and Chairman of Reliance Foundation, on Saturday announced the launch of the New Health Seva Plan, marking a major healthcare initiative aimed at improving access to essential screening and treatment for children, adolescents and women.
The programme, which celebrates the 10th anniversary of Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, will offer extensive healthcare services free of charge.
As part of the New Seva Health Plan, Ambani promised free screening and treatment for congenital heart diseases for 50,000 children, as well as screening for breast and cervical cancer for 50,000 women. The initiative will also provide free cervical cancer vaccines to 10,000 adolescent girls.
During the announcement, Ambani highlighted the hospital’s decade-long commitment to affordable, accessible and high-quality healthcare. “For 10 years, Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital has been driven by our vision of making world-class healthcare accessible and affordable to all Indians. Together, we have touched millions of lives and offered hope to countless families. As we celebrate this milestone, we have launched a free New Seva Health Plan for children and women from marginalized communities. “We believe that good health is the foundation of a prosperous nation, and that healthy women and children are the foundation of a prosperous society,” he said.
Since its inception, Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital has reached out to 2.75 million people, including over 150,000 children. Known for its advanced technology and clinical care, the hospital has achieved several milestones, including performing more than 500 organ transplants and setting a record with six transplants in a single day.
The hospital has accreditations from the Joint Commission International (JCI) and the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH). It is also recognized as the largest Gold certified green hospital in Mumbai.
