“Now we know why…”: Ramesh speculates on premature adjournment of Parliament linked to Hindenburg report | India News

Congress MP Jairam Ramesh launched a scathing attack on the government following the release of the new findings of the Hindenburg Inquiry. Ramesh alleged that though Parliament was initially scheduled to continue its session till the evening of August 12, the session was abruptly suspended. He claimed that this sudden change in timing was due to the government waiting in anticipation for the Hindenburg report.

Joking about the central government, he said that “now we know why” parliamentary proceedings were suddenly suspended.

In a post on his social media platform ‘X’, he wrote: “Parliament was notified that it was to sit until the evening of 12 August. Suddenly, it was suspended sine die on the evening of the same 9 August. Now we know why.”

The Hindenburg investigation cited a whistleblower document and alleged that “Madhabi Buch, the current SEBI chairperson, and her husband held stakes in shady offshore funds used in the Adani money-siphoning scandal.”

“It has been almost 18 months since our original report on the Adani Group presented overwhelming evidence that the Indian conglomerate was running “the biggest scam in corporate history.” Our report exposed a network of offshore shell entities, mostly based in Mauritius, used for alleged billions of dollars in related-party transactions, undisclosed investments and stock manipulation,” Hindenburg said in its report posted on its website on Saturday.
