A symposium on the topic “Role of NSS in character building of students” was held under the chairmanship of Principal Dr. Dilip Kumar on behalf of the National Service Scheme Unit of Marwari College, Darbhanga. Chief Guest and NSS Coordinator of LNM, Dr. R. N. Chaurasia said that regular participation in National Service Scheme programmes not only helps in proper character development of students but also leads to their quick socialisation. The character of an NSS volunteer is imbued with high human qualities. They become more sensitive and social than before.

Principal Dr. Kumar expressed confidence that in future NSS programmes will bring glory to the college and university. He said that through these programmes students learn many human qualities. This helps in proper development of their character. Bursar Dr. Awadhesh Prasad Yadav said that with Dr. Chaurasia again as the coordinator, the college will gain name at the provincial level. He said that NSS will help in developing the character of the students by organizing regular programmes at Marwari College. Prior to this, the Rector received Dr. Chaurasia with flowers, garland and sheet. Former coordinator Dr. Vinod Baitha, Dr. Surendra Kumar Gupta, Dr. Amarendra Kumar Jha, Dr. Gopikant Mishra, Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, Dr. Arvind Jha, Anand Shankar, Saurabh Suman, Sannu Kumar Thakur, Ramkumar Raut and Kamlesh Chaudhary etc. were present on the occasion.
