NTPC has openings for 11558 posts

Railway Recruitment 2024: The Ministry of Railways, Government of India, through the Railway Recruitment Board, has issued a notification for restoration of 11558 posts in the popular non-technical (graduate) category and NTPC undergraduate category. Youngsters who are preparing to join railway jobs can apply online for these posts.

There are 8113 posts in the Postgraduate category of NTPC.

Youth who have completed a graduation degree in any branch from a recognized university can apply for the posts of Chief Commercial Officer and Ticket Supervisor, Station Master and Goods Train Manager. Candidates applying for the posts of Junior Accounts Assistant with Typist and Senior Clerk with Typist must be graduates and proficient in typing in Hindi and English on a computer.
Age limit: The age of candidates applying for all the above posts must be between 18 and 36 years. The age will be computed from 1st January 2025. For reserved category candidates the upper age limit will be relaxed as per the rules.

The salary for the posts of Commercial Officer and Ticket Supervisor and Station Master has been fixed at Rs 35,400 per month and for other posts, the salary has been fixed at Rs 29,200 per month. Get details of other allowances in the notification.

Learn about the selection process

The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted in two stages for the post of Senior Ticket Commercial Supervisor and Goods Train Manager, wherein the selected candidates will have to undergo the process of document verification and medical test. While for the post of Station Master, the candidates will have to take a computer-based aptitude test after passing two stages of CBT. Similarly, candidates applying for the post of Senior Clerk-Typist and Junior Accounts Assistant-Typist will have to appear for the typing skill test after qualifying in both stages of CBT.
First stage TCC: This will be a 100-question based exam, in which questions from General Awareness (40 questions), Mathematics (30 questions) and General Intelligence and Reasoning (30 questions) will be asked. 90 minutes will be given to solve all the questions. Candidates who pass the exam will be eligible for the second stage of CBT.
Second phase TCC: This exam will have 120 questions. The questions will be on General Awareness (50 questions), Mathematics (35 questions) and General Intelligence and Reasoning (35 questions) and all questions must be answered within 90 minutes.
In both stages of the CBT, a mark is assigned for each correct answer, while there will be a negative mark of 1/3 point for an incorrect answer. For details on the exam syllabus and selection process, please refer to the notification.
