Jensen Huang, Founder and CEO of NvidiaHe has always publicly highlighted his humble beginnings as a dishwasher in a restaurant before creating one of the world’s leading artificial intelligence chip companies.
Huang founded Nvidia in 1993. Before that, he worked as a dishwasher and waiter at a restaurant called Denny’s from 1978 to 1983. These are the only two experiences shared by Huang on his LinkedIn profile, which has surprised many. LinkedIn is a social media platform, primarily designed for creating professional connections.
Now, a screenshot of Huang’s LinkedIn profile is making the rounds on social media, with many praising the tech mogul for having such an inspiring career path.
During a previous interview with an American media channel, Huang said, “You can’t show me a task that is beneath me.” “…I used to be a dishwasher and I cleaned toilets… I don’t know what to tell you, that’s life…” he said.

When the profile went viral, many X (formerly Twitter) users hailed Huang as a “legend” for having managed to bring Nvidia to life despite the challenges. “Amazing resume from the CEO of Nvidia, in case you haven’t seen it yet,” said one user @seempaq, sharing Huang’s recent LinkedIn update.

Many people expressed similar sentiments about Huang and the company’s meteoric rise, but some also pointed to reports of the extremely high-pressure work environment that comes with landing a job opportunity there.
These clips of Huang have gone viral again amid a Bloomberg report, published on August 27, revealing that Nvidia’s billionaire employees are working with “golden handcuffs.” Nvidia, which has turned several of its employees into billionaires, is now “torturing them into greatness.”
By Huang’s own admission, the company “rarely fires people,” but believes in giving people the opportunity to learn. “…So I’d rather torture you into greatness because I believe in you…” Huang told The Transcript during an interview in June.
As the company rides the AI wave, many of its employees have reported that they don’t have time to step away from work and enjoy the wealth they’ve created over time. The company’s stock is up 3,776 percent since 2019. In June, it surpassed Microsoft to become the most valuable company in the world at $3.3 trillion.
