Speaking at Nykaa Beauty Summit 2024, Nayar highlighted the growing trend of grooming and men’s beauty in India and expressed confidence in Nykaa’s ability to scale rapidly and capture this emerging market.
“If you look at other markets, like South Korea or even the European and American markets, there is clearly a growing trend towards beauty among men,” Nayar said. She added that while personal care has traditionally been a priority, there is now a shift towards issues such as ageing and pigmentation.
Nayar highlighted Nykaa’s readiness to conquer this market, highlighting the company’s strong capabilities and technology infrastructure. “We have built the capabilities; the technology is there. It’s a matter of customer acquisition,” he said, expressing confidence in Nykaa’s ability to replicate its success in the beauty and fashion sectors with Nykaa Man.
“There is no reason why Nykaa Man cannot be a very big business,” Nayar said, pointing to Nykaa’s strong capabilities, technology infrastructure and potential collaborations with established brands such as L’Oreal and Nivea.
As male beauty gains more and more acceptance, Nykaa is poised to lead the change in this evolving sector.
