On the first day, 75,000 out of 97,000 students accepted the placement, Career News

During the 24 hours of the first day of UG admissions in Delhi University, around 75 thousand students accepted seat allotment while 1241 students confirmed admission by paying fees. Admission is not considered until the student pays the fee.

A DU official says August 18 is the last date for accepting allotment, so students should think carefully before taking admission and paying fees. Delhi University had released the first list of allotted seats for undergraduate admission in the academic session 2024-25 on August 16 at 5 pm

DU does over-allocation of seats so that even if a student vacates the seat, the allotted seat in the college does not remain vacant. It is to be noted that candidates will be eligible for admission in approximately 71,600 seats in 69 colleges of DU. There are 1,559 combinations of programmes and colleges offered to students.

According to information received from DU, a total of 97,387 students have been allotted seats in the first list. These include 52,838 girl students and 44,549 boy students. The university received the highest allocation of 10,096 for B.Com-Hons. In the single girl quota introduced for the first time, 1,339 seats have been allotted and 243 seats have been allotted to orphan students. However, DU has not yet released information on how many single girls or orphans have been admitted.

In the first phase of admission, two lakh forty-five thousand 287 students had registered on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal. Of these, one lakh 85 thousand 543 students had completed the second phase of CSAS by filling their preferences and combinations of courses and colleges.

The university did not release admissions numbers.

On Saturday, I had problems with admissions to universities until the evening. Therefore, universities did not share detailed information on how many admissions were made to which university. This information will be shared on Sunday evening.
