The Odisha Public Service Commission has announced the date of OPSC Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2023. The Civil Services Preliminary Examination will be held on October 27, 2024. Candidates who have applied for the preliminary examination can check the official notification on the OPSC website at opsc.gov.in.

The official notification reads, “For the information of all concerned, the Commission has decided to conduct the Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Examination-2023 as per Advertisement No. 20 of 2023-24 tentatively on 27th October, 2024 (Sunday). The detailed schedule of the said examination will be notified later. 2. Candidates are advised to visit the website of the Commission at http://opsc.gov.in for further information.”
The preliminary exam will consist of two compulsory General Studies tests. The exam will consist of objective questions with a minimum of 200 points each in the subjects. Each test will last 2 hours.
The marks obtained in the preliminary examination will be considered suitable for taking the main examination. The number of candidates admitted to the main examination will be the maximum possible, but not more than 12 times, of the total number of vacancies to be filled in the year by this examination.
The Commission has also released the list of rejected candidates. The Commission has rejected 123 candidates for the post of Odisha Civil Services in 2023, on the grounds mentioned against each of them in the said list.
This recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 399 vacancies. The registration process was started on January 18 and ended on February 16, 2024. For more related details, candidates can refer to the official website of OPSC.
