OSSC CGL Prelims 2024 tomorrow: Guidelines for candidates appearing for the exam | Competitive exams

As per the official notification, the preliminary exam will be held on October 20, in one go through OMR mode in all 30 districts of the state.

OSSC CGL 2024: Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) will conduct the preliminary examination of Combined Graduate Level Recruitment Examination (CGLRE 2024) on October 20, 2024.

As per the official notification, the preliminary exam will be held on October 20, 2024, in one go through OMR mode in all 30 districts of the state.

About the exam:

Candidates will be asked 150 questions in the preliminary exam and each question carries one mark each. The total duration of the exam is 150 minutes. There will be a negative grade of 0.25 points for each incorrect answer. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website at ossc.gov.in using their user credentials.

Below are some guidelines for candidates appearing for the OSSC CGL 2024 Preliminary Exam:

  • The candidate should fill in the OMR answer sheet with the correct roll number and other details as required at the places indicated therein and darken the appropriate circles with a blue or black pen. If the information so provided is incomplete or different from that on the application form or, if applicable, the circle is not adequately obscured, zero points will be awarded.
  • If a candidate is found to be engaging in malpractice/misconduct at any stage, his/her candidature for the examination will be canceled and he/she will be excluded from the Commission examinations for a specified period or permanently.
  • It is not permitted to remove any examination materials such as OMR sheets, prelims sheets, answer sheets, etc. from the examination hall or hand them over to unauthorized persons during the conduct of the examination.
  • Candidates cannot leave the exam venue without being informed during the exam.
  • Misbehaving, intimidating or threatening in any manner towards the examination officials i.e. proctor, proctor, security guard or representatives of the Commission etc. or any of the officials of the Commission (OSSC) is not permitted.
  • Candidates cannot be in possession of a mobile phone in “on” or “off” mode during the exam.
  • Do not bring Bluetooth devices, spy cameras or any other electronic devices to the exam hall.
