Paralympics 2024: Revanth Reddy pays tribute to bronze medallist Deepthi Jeevanji

Chief Minister of Telangana Revanth Reddy Young athlete Deepthi Jeevanji, who won a bronze medal in the women’s 400m T20 during her Paralympic debut in Paris, was honoured.

As a token of appreciation, the Prime Minister declared a reward of 1 crore, a 500-yard plot of land in Warangal and a Group 2 government job for Deepthi. He also announced a cash prize of 10 lakh for his coach, Nagpuri Ramesh.

Notably, Deepti Jeevanji In her Paralympic debut, she won the bronze medal in the women’s 400m T20 final. The 21-year-old got off to a fast start but fell short in the final phase of the race, finishing behind Ukraine’s Yuliia Shuliar and Turkey’s Aysel Onder in Paris.

CM Reddy posted on X: “Deepti Jeevanji, the young athlete who won a bronze medal at the Paralympics and brought glory to Telangana, was welcomed with courtesy.”

“In addition to congratulating her on this occasion, I ordered officials to take measures to provide work for Group-2, “A cash prize of one crore, 500 yards of land in Warangal and Rs.10 lakhs for the coach on behalf of the state government,” he added.

Mandaviya pays tribute to Indian para-athletics team

On Thursday, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports and Labour and Employment, Mansukh Mandaviyasaluted the Indian Para Athletics team after their victorious return from the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. He acknowledged the outstanding performances of the athletes, their coaches and support staff.

Among those present were athlete Deepthi Jeevanji, who won bronze in the women’s 400m T20 category on her Paralympic debut, and fellow debutant athletes Ravi Rongali (men’s shot put F40), Rakshita Raju (women’s 1500m T11), Kanchan Lakhani (women’s discus throw F53), Sakshi Kasana (women’s discus throw F55) and Manu (men’s shot put F37), along with their coaches Rahul Balakrishna, Suresh Kumar Kuruba, Sunil Lakhani and their entourage.
