US Women’s Artistic Swimming Team’s Performance to AR Rahman’s ‘Taal Se Taal’ Breaks Internet – WATCH

The United States of America women’s artistic swimming team has gone viral on social media after performing their set free routine at the Paris Olympics to AR RahmanThe classic song ‘Taal Se Taal’. In February, the girls performed on the track at the World Swimming Championships in Doha. They stole the show after performing on the same track at the Paris Olympics.
The girls sang beautifully to the tune of the musical composed by Rahman. The song was part of the 1999 Bollywood film, “Taal.”
The girls’ performance was uploaded to the Olympics’ official YouTube channel on Wednesday. Watch the video here:
“The US Artistic Swimming Team performed their freestyle routine to the hit Bollywood song ‘Taal Se Taal,’” Olympics captioned the video. The video has over 19 lakh views on YouTube.
“IT RARELY HAPPENS THAT A THEME MUSIC FROM A HINDI FILM LIKE TAAL BECOME ICONIC. It was seen at the DOHA 2024 World Swimming Championships, inspiring the USA ARTISTIC SWIMMING TEAM to showcase their unique performance to the music of TAAL,” the film’s director Subhash Ghai tweeted a few days before the Olympic performance went viral.
The video from the World Swimming Championships in Doha, which was reposted six days ago, has more than 39,000 likes. The United States won silver in Paris, while China topped the podium and Spain came in third.
For the first time since the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, artistic swimming featured fewer than 100 athletes, with 96 athletes competing in two medal events, the women’s duet and the mixed team.
Multiple major changes were instituted to the artistic swimming programme for Paris 2024 to reinforce the Games-wide effort to achieve gender equality.
On 7 October 2022, World Aquatics voted 99% to change the rules for artistic swimming between 2022 and 2025.
