PCB is once again under fire for using a strange method to prepare the Rawalpindi pitch for the second match between PAK and BAN

With the second test between Pakistan and Bangladesh Just around the corner, the pitch is once again hogging all the attention. While it was a batting paradise during the opening Test, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is using bizarre methods to prepare the kit for the second game. Due to heavy rains in the city of Rawalpindi, the PCB is using fans to dry the pitch. This is hilarious and now that the pictures have surfaced in the social space, it is triggering massive reactions from fans. One would have expected that an iconic cricketing venue would have had better technology to deal with such issues. We should not be surprised to see such tactics being used in Pakistan as it was the same story during the opening day of the first Test when it had rained. The same technique was used.

Pakistan I would like to get back on track and level the two-game series against BangladeshThe hosts succumbed to a heavy 10-wicket defeat in the opening Test. Pakistan team is also likely to make major changes to the playing XI. It would be interesting to see if they opt for a bowler.

Meanwhile, the hosts have called up leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed to the squad ahead of the final Test against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi. Amid a host of other call-ups, Aamer Jamal, who the PCB had ruled out of the series, will also join the squad Pakistan camp, their participation “subject to physical authorization.”

On the day of the test it will be interesting to see what the conditions and the playing field are like.
