People Matters, a media platform for HR and talent leaders in India and APAC, has announced a leadership change following its full acquisition by Japan-based HR giant, Mynavi Corporation.
Pushkaraj Bidwai, founding member and former Chief Business Officer (CBO) of People Matters, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and member of the Board of Directors.
He replaces Ester Martinez, founder and former CEO of the company, who is stepping down after 15 years to pursue personal interests.
The leadership transition marks a new chapter for People Matters as it seeks to enhance its position in the People and Work community in Asia.
Strategic expansion with the support of Mynavi
Mynavi’s acquisition provides People Matters with substantial support to execute its growth plans and expand its influence.

The acquisition also benefits People Matters’ long-term employees, as it allows them to exercise their ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) rights and benefit financially through cash-out options.

Pushkaraj Bidwai’s vision
Pushkaraj Bidwai, who has been a key player in expanding People Matters’ presence to six new countries since 2017, is set to lead the company in its next phase of development.
Speaking about her promotion, Bidwai said, “Ester’s leadership has established People Matters as a trusted platform for HR and talent leaders. I am honored to succeed her and build on this legacy as we embark on the People Matters 3.0 journey.”
Bidwai plans to expand the company into new markets and leverage technology, data and artificial intelligence to revolutionize the people and work industry.
