Kolkata: Cases have been filed in the Supreme Court against the police’s prosecution of sports enthusiasts protesting against the RG tax scandal. Chief Justice TS Sivagananam has accepted both the cases for hearing. The hearing will be held on Tuesday. Let us tell you that on Sunday, apart from operators, players and supporters of Mohun Bagan, East Bengal and Mohammedan Sporting Club, officials of the Indian Football Association also took to the streets demanding justice. Apart from blocking the EM bypass located on the eastern edge of Kolkata, the police stopped the procession at Beliaghata, Ruby Mor, Ultadanga, Bengal Chemical, the VIP gate of Salt Lake Stadium etc., and attacked the protesters.

The court should order doctors to end the strike

Following the incident, services of all departments except emergency in other hospitals in the state, including RG Kar, are closed. Dr Kunal Saha has filed a petition against the doctors’ strike. He said that medical services have collapsed due to the strike. Patients and their families are very worried. In view of the current situation, the court should direct the doctors to return to work. The Chief Justice has given immediate approval to this petition.
