Mann Ki Baat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was speaking today (August 25) on the 113th episode of his monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’. In episode 113, PM Modi said, “On August 23, the nation celebrated the first National Space Day, celebrating the success of Chandrayaan-3. Last year, on this day, Chandrayaan-3 had successfully landed on the southern part of the moon at the Shiv-Shakti point.”

‘A large number of young people are willing to join politics’

PM Modi said a large number of youth are willing to join politics and all they need is a proper opportunity and guidance. He said youth have written to him and have reacted on social media to his call. They have noticed that family politics is suppressing new talent, he added.

“This year, from Red Fort, I have urged one hundred thousand youth who are not from a political background to get connected with the political system. This point that I raised has generated tremendous response. Thus, we know that a large number of our youth are eager to enter politics. All they are looking for is the right opportunity and the right guidance. I have also received letters from youth across the country on this issue. A huge response is also being received on social media. People have sent me all kinds of suggestions,” he said.

“Some young people have also written that dynastic politics crushes new talents. Some young people have mentioned that such efforts will give more strength to our democracy. I thank each and every one of you for sending suggestions on the issue. I hope that now, with our collective efforts, young people who do not possess a political background will also be able to advance in politics… their experience and zeal will be useful for the country,” he added.

He said that during the freedom movement, countless people from all walks of life came forward, even if they had no political background. “They dedicated themselves completely to India’s independence. Today, to achieve the vision of a Viksit Bharat, we need to rekindle that same spirit once again,” he said.

PM Modi said the ‘Har GharTiranga’ campaign has brought the entire country together. “This time the campaign was in full swing. Amazing images related to this campaign have emerged from every corner of the country. We saw the tricolour flag flying from houses, schools, colleges and universities. People put the tricolour flag on their shops, offices, and also on their desktops, mobiles and vehicles. This campaign has brought the entire country together and this is ‘Ek Bharat – Shreshtha Bharat’,” the PM said.

PM Modi shares the story of the bond between humans and animals

PM Modi also shared a heartwarming story of human-animal bonding in Tinsukia, Assam on Mann Ki Baat. “In the small village of Barekuri in Tinsukia district of Assam, people from the Moran community live and in this village also lives the ‘Hoolock Gibbon’, which is called ‘Holo Bandar’ here. The Hoolock Gibbons have made this village their home. You will be surprised to know that the people of this village have a very deep relationship with the Hoolock Gibbon. The people of the village still follow their traditional values. Therefore, they did all those things, which would strengthen their relationship with the gibbons,” PM Modi said.
