The Punjab and Haryana High Court at Chandigarh has invited applications for the posts of Peon. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of the Punjab and Haryana High Court at highcourtchd.gov.in.
The application process started on August 25 and will end on September 20, 2024. This recruitment campaign will cover 300 positions in the organization. Read below for eligibility requirements, the selection process, and other details.
Candidates desiring to apply for the posts must have passed at least Intermediate and maximum 10+2 from the Board of Education of the Recognized School or from the Recognized College. Candidates having qualifications higher than the maximum prescribed above will not be eligible for direct recruitment. The age limit should be between 18 and 35 years.
All candidates applying for the post will first have to appear for a written test of 100 marks consisting of 50 multiple choice questions (2 marks each) related to general knowledge, general awareness, current affairs and numerical ability without negative marking. The test is of 90 minutes duration and the question paper will be written in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
Candidates who have passed the written test will be called to a physical endurance test which will be purely for qualifying purposes and will include the 800-meter race, long jump and high jump.
Application fee
The application fee is ₹700/- for General Staff and SC/ST/BC from areas/states other than Punjab, Haryana and UT Chandigarh. For SC/ST/BC from areas/states other than Punjab, Haryana and UT Chandigarh, Ex-Servicemen and Persons with Disabilities, the application fee is ₹600/-. The fee is to be paid online.
