Railways in action against Kalindi Express conspiracy

Kalindi Express Updates: An attempt was made to cause a train accident in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh on Sunday night. Gas cylinders and bottles filled with petrol and many other suspicious substances were kept on the railway tracks. On Wednesday, the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team reached the same spot located between Barrajpur and Uttaripura in Kanpur where a gas cylinder and a bottle filled with petrol were found. The team examined the entire area thoroughly. Let us tell you that a major accident was avoided because the locomotive pilot braked in time. In this case, an FIR has been registered against the unknown accused at Shivrajpur police station of Kanpur Commissionerate under BNS, Explosives Act and Railways Act.

Many people were arrested for questioning.
Kanpur police have detained more than two dozen people for questioning in connection with the conspiracy to derail the Kalindi Express. The people questioned by the police are mainly people with criminal records. Apart from this, the police are also trying to collect evidence from the spot of the incident. The police found petrol bottles and matchboxes at the spot of the incident. Let us tell you that the pilot, showing his wisdom, had stopped the train by applying the brakes even before the accident. Thanks to this, a serious rail accident was averted.

the investigation is ongoing
Railway ADG has said that the incident is being investigated by a team comprising NIA, IB, RPF, GRP, State Intelligence and Kanpur Police. Many state and central agencies are busy solving the mystery of the case. The agencies said that some evidence has been collected. The work of collecting clues is still going on. Also, the police are checking the 250 LPG customers who were travelling in the train and had recently collected refill cylinders from the local agency.

Delhi Police has also alerted railway staff.
Following the attempt to derail the Kalindi Express in Kanpur, the Delhi Police has asked railway employees to be on high alert. The Delhi Police said it has also asked Delhi Metro employees to remain alert and step up investigation. A senior Delhi Police official said that following the Kanpur incident, the entire railway unit staff has been put on high alert. Foot and motorcycle patrols have been stepped up.
