Due to waterlogging of the premises, the patient had a lot of difficulty in moving around. Around half a dozen patients were sent by ambulance to the medical ward. Due to waterlogging in the premises of the Superintendent’s office, the Deputy Superintendent had to leave his car near the Trauma Centre and reach the office on foot. Director Dr KN Mishra had to change his route to reach the office. They reached the office through the library.

Lakhim, a resident of Benipur, who contacted the DMCH OPD on Saturday, Naresh, a resident of Sitamarhi, Radha, a resident of Simri, said that the system here has failed. This problem has persisted in the hospital for years. Even with a little rain, the hospital gets submerged. Naresh said that if it rains continuously for two to three days, it will be difficult to reach the DMCH.
