Anurag Kashyap’s influence on Raj B Shetty
During the launch of his latest Kannada film RakkasapuradholRaj B Shetty expressed his admiration for Kashyap and cited the director as a significant influence on his own career.
“Anurag Kashyap has always been an inspiration to me. I grew up watching his films and have been a huge fan of his for years,” said Raj B Shetty.
“When I saw his recent status update, I reached out to him to offer my help, thinking I could contribute to the writing process. To my surprise, he responded with a request for a small on-screen role.”
Raj B Shetty revealed that he enthusiastically accepted the offer, emphasising his deep respect for Kashyap.
“It’s not about the character or the amount of screen time,” he explained. “I’m indebted to him, as I grew up admiring his work. It’s an honour for me to be a part of his film, even if it’s a small role.”
