In Rajasthan, a serving army officer was beaten up by some policemen. When Rajasthan government minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore came to know about this, he went straight to the police station. Here he reprimanded the policemen. He asked how the policemen beat up a serving army personnel?
Rajasthan Cabinet Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said that the policemen have misused their uniform. He asked for a check-up of the mental health of all the policemen involved in this case. He also spoke to the DG and the Police Commissioner regarding the assault on the Army Jawan. After his reprimand, the Jaipur Police Commissioner also took action against the policemen and suspended a sub-inspector and four policemen.
Video of minister reprimanding police goes viral
A video of Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore is also viral on social media, in which he can be seen reprimanding the policemen. He said, “Have you not learnt basic manners or has the uniform become a different robe? Do you have any patience, anything, do you have any public service in mind? Or is it bullying?”
Army jawan accuses police of assault
The army jawan alleged that he was brutally beaten up and was allegedly stripped of his clothes and then beaten up. Later, while talking to the media, Minister Rathore said that the policemen had said to the army jawan, “Police is the father of the army.” He said that this is a very serious matter.
‘Rajasthan police will take action, full confidence’
The minister said that he has full faith in Rajasthan police that they will get the policemen who did this (assault on the army jawan) mentally examined, get them treated and also take action against them. Such people who have such a mentality are a threat to the society and it is cowardice to show the power of uniform on someone who is following the law.
