Ayodhya: Devotees have opened their wallets for the construction of the Ram temple (Ayodhya Ram Mandir). So far, the temple has received donations worth Rs 55 billion since Bhoomi Pujan. Under the fund dedication campaign, Rs 3,500 crore were donated to the temple. After this, two billion rupees were donated in three years. This also includes donations worth crores of rupees received from abroad. Since the consecration of Ramlala, about one crore rupees are donated every month. The donations amount to about Rs 50,000 every day. Apart from this, gold and silver are different.
11 crore rupees received from abroad
The Ayodhya Ram Temple has so far received donations of Rs 11 crore from abroad. This amount was received in less than a year. Ram Temple got permission to accept donations from abroad in October 2023. According to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, maximum donations are sent from Nepal and the US. Six donation counters have also been set up at Ram Mandir and Darshan Marg. Here devotees can donate in cash, cheque and also online.
Rs 3,500 crore found in fundraising campaign
Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust had launched a 42-day fund dedication drive from Makar Sankranti in 2021 for the construction of the temple. In this drive, receipts ranging from Rs 10 to Rs 1,000 were printed. Donations of around Rs 3,500 crore were collected through this drive. There has been a further surge in donations received after Pran Pratistha.
