realme’s 320W SuperSonic Charge can charge phones to 100% in less than 5 minutes

Have you ever lost track of time while browsing the internet and realized you only had 10 minutes left to charge your phone before you had to leave? Or that moment when you only have a couple of minutes near a charging port and your battery is at 10%?

realme has come up with a solution that will save you from all your charging troubles and charge your phone in less than 5 minutes.

The smartphone company recently introduced its 320W charging technology called SuperSonic Charge, which allows users to charge their phone from 0 to 100% in 4 minutes and 30 seconds. Along with this, realme also announced the launch of the realme 13 5G series.

“In just one minute, the 320W charger can charge a device to 26% capacity, and it takes less than two minutes to charge a phone to over 50%,” realme said in a statement.

Realme has achieved this milestone by introducing a new foldable battery that features a 4,420mAh capacity and uses a quad-cell design, allowing all four cells to be charged at once. This design, with each cell less than 3mm thick, is said to increase capacity by 10% compared to traditional batteries.

To ensure safety during high-power charging, realme has introduced the AirGap voltage transformer, which isolates the high voltage from the battery even in the event of serious faults, reducing the risk of overheating and other issues. The transformer is very small, about the size of a fingertip, and ensures high efficiency and thermal management, achieving a power efficiency of about 98%.

The 320W SuperSonic Charge “Pocket Cannon” charger supports multiple charging protocols including UFCS (up to 320W), PD, and SuperVOOC, making it compatible with many devices.

With dual USB-C outputs, it can charge realme phones at 150W and laptops at 65W simultaneously.

Realme is no stranger to innovative charging technology. At Mobile World Congress 2023, the company unveiled The realme GT3 with a 240W charging capacity.

The GT3 charger can boost the battery to 20% in just 80 seconds and reach 50% in just four minutes. realme said the device’s 4,600mAh battery can be fully charged in just 9 minutes and 30 seconds.
