In the oil and chemicals segment, markets are also expecting updates on stake sale prospects, said Prashanth Tapse, Senior Vice President (Research), Mehta Equities Ltd.
If we look at the performance of Reliance’s share price pre and post AGM over the last 3 years, based on high expectations, the pre-AGM moves are always positive as we have seen in the last 15 days, while post AGM we have historically seen negative trends due to falling expectations. Overall, we do not expect a high impact price action announcement in the AGM to be held today.
Technically, Reliance shares are trading at an all-or-nothing neutral level, any close above ₹3.060 we can see that the price is going up towards ₹3,100 and any close below ₹2.990 we can see a break towards ₹2,930 levels. We are on a wait and watch strategy, Mehta added.
