Cast
Four regular characters from the series are chosen to be part of the new… Bosch Spin-off series revolving around Renée Ballard. They are joined by Maggie Q, Courtney Taylor and John Carroll Lynch. Michael Mosley (Ozark), Rebecca Field (A star is born), Victoria Moroles (Teen Wolf), and Amy Hill (Magnum PI).
Michael Mosley will play Ted Rawls, a bookish officer who has been assigned to keep an eye on Ballard and work on unsolved cases. Mosley’s character will likely bring skepticism and grudging cooperation to the group.
Cassie is played by Rebecca Field and this volunteer comedian is so convinced that her instincts are capable of solving the most baffling cases that her character seems like she will bring some much-needed quirkiness and energy to the group.
Martina Castro is a smart and hard-working legal intern, ready to show her talents in the TV series, Victoria Moroles will play the role. Expect her character to be funny and full of the perseverance needed to provide her services.
Rounding out the list of main characters, one can mention Amy Hill as a rather smart and cheerful Tutu, the main female character, who is Ballard’s grandmother. Hill’s personality is going to humanize the show. Renée Ballard’s spin-off in the “Bosch” universe is certainly destined to be another hit due to its intriguing plot and an exceptionally good cast.
Plot
Detective Renée Ballard is entrusted with overseeing the newly created cold case division of the Los Angeles Police Department. This unit is run entirely by volunteers and has the largest caseload in the city, but unfortunately, it is underfunded. Ballard takes a poignant and empathetic approach to these cases that seem stuck in time. To survive the dangers that threaten her unit and her life, she will rely on Harry Bosch, her retired ally, to support her when she uncovers a larger conspiracy during her investigations.

Following the character’s introduction in the season 3 finale of “Bosch: Legacy,” fans can expect an exact premiere date to be announced soon.
