Rourkela. A school-level science knowledge fair was organised at Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir located at Shivaji Marg on Friday. At 9.30 am, the chief guest Sudharani Jaiswal, vice-president of the school operating committee, inaugurated the fair. Along with the chief guest, joint secretary Vijay Kumar Sahu and member Amar Singh lit the lamp. The chief guest Sudharani spoke about the importance of science in student life. The principal of the school, Govindra Chandra Mishra, while introducing the guest, provided information on science topics to the students.

The winners received prizes

In this fair, science projects, mathematics projects, experiments and sculpture competitions were held. In which, in science projects, properties of air, living and non-living, function of water, source of water, water cycle, solar system, waste management, simple machine, motion, life based model, shape in mathematics projects, fractions, four mathematical reactions, proximity of bases. The project was related to multiplication of numbers, properties of weapons and religion, measurements and currency. 183 students participated in it. Teachers of government schools evaluated the children. Students who got first position were rewarded. The concluding programme of Gyan Science Fair was held at 2 pm. School teachers Tuki Kumari Dubey, Swati Aparajita Jena and Swati Sahu played an active role in this. Senior Acharya Seema Singh presented the vote of thanks.

Birmitrapur: 217 projects on display

Knowledge Science Fair was organized at Birmitrapur Saraswati Shishu Mandir on Friday. Municipal Executive Officer Rashmi Ranjan Das was present as the Chief Guest in the programme organized on this occasion. Principal Ranjit Das delivered the welcome address. 217 projects were exhibited by the students in this fair. Prizes were given to the best projects in the programme organized on this occasion. Prizes were distributed by the Chief Guest. School Management Committee Chairman Manoj Kumar Pushti and Vice Chairman Sauris Kundu were also present on the occasion.
