Royal Enfield unveils 2024 Classic 350: New features and refreshed colours ahead of September 1 launch
New Delhi: Royal Enfield has officially unveiled the 2024 Classic 350 in India, scheduled to launch on September 1, 2024. This updated model brings several feature enhancements and cosmetic updates.
A highlight is the revamped lighting system, which now includes LED lighting for the headlight, position lights, indicators and taillight. The new headlight is reminiscent of the design of the Guerrilla 450 and Super Meteor 650. In addition, the bicycle It now features adjustable clutch and brake levers, as well as a USB charging port. It will be available in seven new colour options including Jodhpur Blue, Madras Red, Emerald, Commando Sand, Brown and Stealth.
Mechanically, the Classic 350 remains unchanged, retaining the 349cc air/oil-cooled single-cylinder engine. This engine produces 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, renowned for its low-end torque and smooth drivability. It is mated to a five-speed gearbox.
Chassis and suspension components are the same as the previous model, with telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks supporting the double downtube frame. While the previous model’s ride quality was noted for its firmness, it remains to be seen whether any tweaks have been made to the suspension. The braking system consists of a 300mm front disc and a 270mm rear disc.
The 2024 Classic 350 will compete with the Honda CB350 and Jawa 350. A price increase of around Rs. 2,000-4,000 is anticipated for the lower-spec variants, with the higher-spec versions possibly costing up to Rs. 7,000 more.
