RPL certificates distributed among 17 workers at RSP’s Sintering Plant-2

The RPL certificate distribution and contact programme was organised by the Learning & Development Department at the Sintering Plant-2 department of Rourkela Steel Plant on August 10. In-charge General Manager (SP-2), SK Padhi awarded RPL certificates to one regular employee and 16 contract workers attached to the department. General Manager (HR-L&D) HN Pati, General Manager (HR-L&D) S Konda and other senior managers and employees of the department were present on the occasion. Notably, these RPL trained persons have been trained in work domain skills as well as behavioural skills. During the course, they were provided with entrepreneurship tips. After assessment, all of them were certified. The aim of the certification is to align the competencies of the country’s pre-existing workforce with the standardized National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF). Under the Sampark initiative, training and development activities were highlighted and training needs were discussed in detail to make the training and development programme more relevant and vibrant. The session was moderated by the HR-L&D team comprising of Deputy General Manager, Sampad Mishra, Senior Manager, Arnapurna Behera, Manager, Vineeta Tirkey and Junior Officer, Alok Ranjan Behera led by Chief General Manager (HR-L&D), HN Pati and S Konda under the guidance of Rajshree Banerjee.
