Materials required: for roll

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • ¾ cup hot water

To fill:

  • 1 cup finely chopped mixed vegetables (carrot, bell pepper, cabbage)
  • 2 teaspoons schezwan sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, chopped
  • – 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, instant yeast, sugar and salt. Mix well.

– Make a well in the centre and add olive oil and hot water. Stir until a soft dough forms.

– Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and pliable.

– Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for approximately 1 hour.

2. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and ginger and stir-fry for a minute until fragrant. Add the chopped vegetables and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. Stir in the schezwan sauce and soy sauce. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook for a further 2 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Now make rotis from kneaded bun dough and spread the filling nicely on them.

4. Bake the buns

Bake the bun for 20-25 minutes or until golden.

5. Cool and pack:
