The India Meteorological Department, IMD, has warned that a deep depression over Kutch and adjoining areas is likely to move almost westward to northeastward. Following the IMD warning, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reached the State Emergency Operation Centre in Gandhinagar and spoke to Arora via video conference about the district administration’s preparedness, an official statement said. More than 25 people have died this week in rain-related incidents in Gujarat. The IMD has warned that more torrential rains and strong winds may hit the coast.

There is no update on school holidays in Gujarat as of now. However, all students of government and private schools are advised to contact their respective schools for the latest updates as schools might opt ​​for online classes.
