Crime in Jharkhand: Bhuli (Dhanbad) – On Saturday, the severed head of an unknown woman was found floating in the Pampu pond located at Pandarpala Das Basti under Bhuli police station area in Dhanbad. This incident created a sensation in the entire area. A crowd of people gathered here. The locals informed the police about this. Bankmod station in-charge Luv Kumar, Kenduadih station in-charge Waqar Hussain and Bhuli OP in-charge Abhinav Kumar reached the spot and started questioning the people nearby. The police immediately called in a diving team and started searching for other parts of the body. However, even after hours of efforts, the torso was not found. The police later sent the head to the SNMMCH for an autopsy.
Earring found in the ear of a severed head
Police found earrings in the ears of the woman’s severed head. For this reason, police suspect that the head is that of a woman. According to police, the severed head was in the water for about a week. Due to being in the water for a long time, the face of the head is completely swollen.
The autopsy of the head will be carried out following the instructions of the court.
The severed head has not been identified. The severed head is kept at the SNMMCH morgue. Now, on the instructions of the court, an autopsy of the severed head bone will be conducted. On Monday, the police may seek permission from the court to conduct the autopsy of the severed head.
Police are engaged in investigation
Bankmod police station in-charge Luv Kumar said the incident is being investigated. The body with the severed head is being sought. The police team is busy questioning people in the vicinity. Information about women who have gone missing from their homes in recent times is also being collected.
