September 2024: Check the full list of holidays for next month

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the list of bank holidays for September 2024.

Holidays, designated by the Reserve Bank of India, are divided into three different categories for all banks in the country. The list includes the Negotiable Instruments Act holiday, the Negotiable Instruments Act holiday and the real-time gross settlement holiday, and the closing of accounts of banks.

The holidays They vary from state to state due to regional festivals, events, and other observances. The list of holidays also includes all Sundays, second Saturdays, and fourth Saturdays.

Here is the list of bank holidays in September 2024:

September 4th: Banks will be closed in Guwahati on the occasion of the Tirubhav Tithi by Srimanta Sankardeva.

September 7: Banks will be closed in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Mumbai, Nagpur and Panaji on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.

September 14: On the occasion of Onam,

Banks will remain closed in Kochi, Ranchi and Thiruvananthapuram.

September 16: Banks will remain closed in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Dehradun, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Imphal, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Ranchi, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram on the occasion of Barawafat either Milad un Nabi.

September 17: Banks will remain closed in Gangtok and Raipur on the occasion of Milad un Nabi.

September 18: Banks will remain closed due to lahabsol language in Gangtok.

September 20: All banks will be closed in Jammu and Srinagar on the occasion of Eid-i-Milad-ul-Nabi.

September 21: On the occasion of Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day, banks will remain closed in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.

September 23: All banks in Jammu and Srinagar remain closed on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh.

List of weekend holidays:

The bank will be closed every Sunday nationwide on September 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. It will also be closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of September 14 and 28.
