Shahrukh Khan’s post read, “The film we made with a lot of heart… turned a year old today… or should I say a ‘Jawan’ year. Without the storytelling, skill and vision of @Atlee_dir, this film would not have been possible and of course… massssssss!!! Sending my love to the team who worked hard to make this film what it is – @NayantharaU @VijaySethuOffl, @deepikapadukone, all the Boss girls and @RedChilliesEnt. Director Atlee responded to the emotional tweet and wrote, “Love you @iamsrk sir. Thank you so much sir and congratulations. Your love and support made Jawan sir possible. Thanks to my entire cast and crew for making it possible. Thanks to the audience for making it a milestone for all of us.”

Following the release of the film, Lady Superstar Nayanthara shared her thoughts on making her Bollywood debut with SRK. “Who isn’t a fan of his? We all grew up watching his films and we all love them. Apart from being the big star that he is, I really admire the fact that he respects women a lot… I was quite sure that Jawan would create a huge impact. After working in the industry for so many years, you know when a film is going to work and vice versa,” she shared during an interview.
The film, directed by Atlee, was a box office success. It became the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023 by collecting approximately Rs 1,148 crore. Not only that, the film earned a total of 14 nominations at the 69th Filmfare Awards.
