Protesters in Israel disrupted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech at a Sunday ceremony held to remember the victims of the Oct. 7 attack, the AP reported. The rebels shouted, “What a shame,” causing an uproar that forced Netanyahu to stop his speech shortly after it began.
The great national commemoration was broadcast live throughout the country.
Many Israelis hold Netanyahu responsible, criticizing him for the security failures that allowed the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023 and for failing to secure the release of hostages still being held by the group in Gaza.
