Vinesh announced her retirement during the Olympics and recently joined politics. The three-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist will contest the Haryana Assembly elections.

The Indian contingent returned home with six medals – one silver and five bronze. Neeraj Chopra failed to win the gold, but did bag the silver medal.
