Shirin Naz’s husband Manavar Raja arrested and jailed

Odisha Crime News: Kutra police arrested Shirin Naz’s husband Manavar Raja and produced him before the court from where he was sent to jail. Shirin Naz, wife of Manawar Raja of Khatkulhal village, died on August 27, after which the body was cremated at Khatkulhal village.

On August 29, his family charged him with murder.

Later, Shirin’s family lodged a complaint at Kutra police station, suspecting murder. Regarding the incident, Shirin’s brother Wasim Akram, a resident of Nala Road, Rourkela, lodged a complaint at Kutra police station on August 29, alleging that his sister was murdered by her in-laws, including her husband Manavar Raja.

The body was removed in the presence of the magistrate

Based on this complaint, on Friday, in the presence of the magistrate, the police removed Shireen’s body from the grave amid elaborate security measures. After conducting necessary investigation by a five-member team from Sundergarh and Rourkela, the police conducted the Panchnama of the dead body.

A candle march for justice was held

Thousands of people took out a candlelight march from Rourkela Nala Road to bring justice to Shireen Naz’s family. This issue has been in the headlines ever since the incident.
