A senior officer said that Goyal was the mastermind behind the gang operating in India and during interrogation it was revealed that the four accused were conspiring to sell large quantities of drugs at “concerts, rave parties” etc. in Delhi and other metropolitan areas.

“We have formed several teams to nab other members of the group,” the officer said, adding that investigators have recovered several photographs of Goyal from a social media account in which he is seen with Congress leaders.

Goyal’s alleged Facebook account has an image of a tiger as its profile picture and has introduced himself as “Chairman of the RTI Cell of Delhi State Indian Youth Congress, DYPC”.
