Shreya Ghoshal: National Award-winning playback singer Shreya Ghoshal has lent her voice for the song ‘Aaj Shara Bela’ from the upcoming Bengali film ‘Bohurupi’. This song has been composed by Anupam Roy. Its story describes the feelings of a girl as she waits for love. Anupam was trying to lend Shreya Ghoshal’s voice to the song for six months.
Shreya Ghoshal said, “This is a very beautiful song. I really liked the composition of it. This song combines a lot of genres which makes it really interesting. It is a beautifully rendered song. It shows the girl waiting in love. I feel like a singer or a lyricist, whatever he creates, be it the melody or the lyrics, everything comes from his heart and it shows in the composition.”
Anupam and Shreya first worked together in the song ‘Kolkata’ from the film ‘Praktan’ released in 2016. This song had featured famous artists of Bengali cinema, Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta. Anupam Roy said, “I want to tell everyone that I have been chasing Shreya for this recording for the last six months. Ever since I was making the song, I knew that this song was only for her. I needed her voice, finally, she managed to do it.”
Recently, the makers released the motion poster of the film. It features Abir Chatterjee and director-actor Shiboprasad Mukherjee. ‘Bohurupi’ is directed by the duo of Nandita Roy and Shiboprasad Mukherjee. In this, actors like Abir Chatterjee, Ritabhari Chakraborty, Kaushani Mukherjee, Shiboprasad Mukherjee play important roles. Produced by Windows Productions, the film will be released in theatres on the occasion of Durga Puja.
