New Delhi: The Centre has introduced a new simplified pension application form called ‘Bhavishya’, which aims to simplify the retirement process for central government employees. Launched by Union Minister Jitendra Singh through a video conference on Friday, this form merges nine different forms into a single, user-friendly one. Form 6A.
From December 2024, all retired central government employees can access the form on Bhavishya and Electronic human resource management system portalsThe new system is designed to process all retirement contributions and Pension Payment Orders (PPOs) on the day of retirement, providing a smooth transition from employment to retirement.
The Bhavishya system enables employees and administrative authorities to track penalties and pension payments online. It also includes an option to download the ePPO, making the process efficient and paperless.
Singh stressed that this initiative is part of the government’s “maximum governance-minimum government” strategy, which aims to simplify and improve the pension system for citizens and retirees.

The form simplifies the submission of forms for employees, requiring only a single login, while achieving complete digitalisation of pension processing, from application to payment. According to an official statement, this change will pave the way towards a paperless pension system.
